Women’s Hockey Blanks Stevenson for Sweep

ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University women's ice hockey team shutout Stevenson University 1-0 on Saturday afternoon in MAC action.

 
The lone goal of the game came on the power play. Gia Santorello shot the puck

from just inside the blue line and it hit the net high in the middle. Charlotte Labre and Kaylynn Savoy drew the assists on the 5-on-3 goal with 54 seconds remaining in the second period.
 
Noelle Woodard made 23 saves and picked up her first collegiate shutout in net. The Knights outshot the Mustangs 30-23, led by Savoy with seven. Lian Sydorowicz put five pucks on net and won 10 faceoffs. Brooke Markley added four shots and blocked three.
 
Neumann (4-7-2, 3-5-2 MAC) hits the road and will travel to Wilkes next weekend for two MAC games.
