Edinboro, Pa. – The Edinboro women's swim team scored a 151-74 victory over visiting Allegheny in dual meet action inside McComb Fieldhouse.
The Scots opened the meet with the 200-yard medley relay teams going one-two. The quartet of Izzy Hanek, Alexis Schrecongost, Baila Bugara and Lillian Dilts were first in a time of 1:52.20. Katelyn Reott, Emma Beggs, Cara Dell Toffalo and Avery Zuk teamed up for a time of 1:53.22 to take second.
As the lone Edinboro swimmer in the 1,000-freestyle, Abigail Greene touched the wall in 11:50.82 to take first place.
In the 200-freestyle, Dilts placed first with a swim of 2:02.50 and Reott was second with a time of 2:04.90. Beggs took the top spot int eh 100-backstroke with a time of 1:04.30. Kirsten Johnson finished in a time of 1:08.33 to take second.
Schrecongost posted a time of 1:10.22 to place first in the 100-breaststroke. Bugara turned in a first-place swim in the 200-butterfly with a time of 2:24.72. Edinboro claimed the top two spots in the 50-freestyle with Hanek checking in at 25.16and Zuk finishing in 26.11.
Reott swam a 55.49 in the 100-freestyle to grab first place honors. Zuk claimed the top spot in the 200-backstroke with a time of 2:24.81 and Beggs swim of 2:31.81 in the 200-breaststroke gave her the top spot.
In the 500-freestyle, Della Toffalo earned first place with a time of 5:28.48. Dilts turned in a time of 1:02.28 in the 100-butterfly to take first. Schrecongost closed out the individual events with a first-place swim of 2:20.54 in the 200 individual medley.
The relay team of Dilts, Della Toffalo, Zuk and Reott closed out the meet with a first place swim of 1:42.56 in the 200-freestyle relay.
The Scots are back in action next Saturday when they host the PennWest Duals inside McComb Fieldhouse. It will be senior day and swimming begins at 1 p.m.
